CHRISTMAS POTTERY.
Each LANTERN IS APPROXIMATELY JUST OVER A FOOT TALL, NO TWO ARE EXACTLY THE SAME.
Christmas is such a special time. Its a time of Religious and Family/Friends Celebration, a time of Traditions and fun. Time also for quiet reflections and a time of making special memories.
My daughter and I make our mincemeat around October, this year we'll be joined for the first time by my Grandaughter. We put a Christmas C.D on whilst we measure and mix. Pops is called in to stir and make a wish grumbling as he comes into the kitchen, but would never want to be left out.
Another of our special times is the careful unwrapping each year of our decorations, some date back to my childhood, our Nativity scene for example. Each year I add a piece and when our daughter was very young I bought each year a decoration for her so when she was an adult she had a collection of her own already underway.
When I started making Pottery it was a natural path for me to take making Christmas pieces that can be collected and treasured by others, brought out each year, carefully unwrapped and the memories thought of or recounted.
Each piece is hand made, and glazed here at my studio and is dated. Earthenware fired Pottery pieces that are your family Christmas treasures in years to come.
No two will be exactly the same as NO moulds are used, each piece is individually made.
Christmas Pottery Studio open by Appointment throughout the year from 2011.
